An increasing number of foreign students are learning Chinese in China. What do they think about their language learning in China? Here is an interview with some of them.

Leonardo

I am from Italy. Some schools in my hometown have Chinese lessons. We learn a lot of grammar, but we don’t have many chances to speak Chinese. Now in China, I’m learning more about Chinese history and culture, and I speak Chinese every day.

Emily

I am from America. In my hometown, we only have two Chinese lessons each week. It’s not enough. Here, I have Chinese lessons every day and speak Chinese all the time. This experience helps me understand China much better.

Mira

I am from South Korea. I am majoring in Chinese. You know, teachers and students in my hometown speak Chinese with strong Korean accents. The situation here is quite different. Now I have some Chinese friends. We chat with each other in Chinese. I am doing my best to improve my Chinese pronunciation.
